• What is myPhoto Creator?
myPhoto Creator comprises of a suite of FREE design and layout software tools for creating great looking photobooks, calendars and cards. It is available on both Windows and Mac. For each platform, myPhoto Creator is packaged as 2 separate downloads, namely myPhoto Creator – Photobooks and myPhoto Creator – Cards & Calendars for photobooks and cards plus calendars respectively.
• How does it work?
myPhoto Creator comes pre-loaded with different products, sizes and themes. Launch it from your desktop, and have fun using the rich customization tools to create photobook, cards or calendar projects with your digital photos. Once you are satisfied with your work, just click on the Send to myPhotoIdeas button to upload the project to us. Upon successful upload, you will be directed to an online page where we ask for the details of the order, including any options for cover, delivery address etc. You will next be directed to a secure online payment page by Worldpay. Once we receive confirmation of payment, your product will be printed, bound and delivered within 7 working days (for delivery within Singapore).

• Is there restriction to the types of images I can use on my project?
We will not print materials that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable law. Neither will we print those that promote racism, hatred, bigotry, or harm against any group or person. We reserve the full right and sole discretion to refuse to print any output. Users must ensure they have the rights to use the photos and images that they put in their projects.
• What is so special about your products?
myPhoto Ideas offers users a combination of the highest level of customization (with our free software), good print quality on high-grade paper, and professionally bound and finished products. Users also have a wide selection of products and options to match their creativity. We offer users further customization right up to the gift box that they use. For multiple copies, users have the choice of personalizing and adding different names to each copy.

• What are the minimum PC requirements for myPhoto Creator ?

• How do I install myPhoto Creator?
Windows Version
Upon successful download of the software to your computer, double-click the file:
myPhoto Creator – Photobook.exe – for photobook component
myPhoto Creator – Cards & Calendars.exe – for photo cards and calendars component
Then follow the installation instructions to install the software. .
Mac Version
The Mac installer is in zip format. Go through the following steps:
- In Safari go to the Safari menu and choose preferences.
- Under the general tab Uncheck the section that says "Open "safe" files after downloading"
- Then download the Mac software from the website link
- This should put a zip archive where you're downloading to.
- Double clicking it should unpack the zip file providing you with an application instead of the contents folder that you're probably getting now
- If not try Control+Clicking on the package and choosing BOMArchiveUtility in the open with option.

• What picture format does myPhoto Creator accept?
The software supports all common file formats, such as JPEG (jpg), GIF, BMP, TIFF, PNG, RGB and several RAW formats.
• Can I add text in any language?
Yes, you can use any language or font on your system, the software will create a PDF before sending the file to print and embed all font info into the PDF.
• Do you have a User Guide?

• What are the different photo books sizes?
myPhoto Creator currently comes with 5 photo book sizes, namely:
- Deluxe Landscape Photobook (276 x 430mm)
- Splendid Square Photobook (300mm x 300mm)
- Elegant Landscape Photobook (210mm x 297mm)
- Elegant Square Photobook (210mm x 210mm)
- Exotic Landscape Photobook (148mm x 210mm)
All our photo books are printed on 200gsm uncoated paper and thread-sewn in place before being bound in hard cover. Users have a choice of 3 cover options:
- Standard cover bound in either linen or faux leather
- Window (keyhole) cover bound in either linen or faux leather
- Printed (custom) cover using your personal photo(s) to wrap around the cover
• How many pages can I have in each photobook?
By default, all the photo books come with 30 pages (15 sheets). You can increase by 2 pages at a time up to a maximum of 60 pages (30 sheets).
• What are the different photo Calendar products?
There are 4 photo calendar products, namely:
- 11 x 17 inch Wall Calendar - Top-bound wall calendar with printing on 1 side. Total of 13 printed pages including cover
- 8.5 x 11inch Wall Calendar - Top-bound wall calendar with printing on 1 side. Total of 13 printed pages including cover
- 8.5 x 11 inch Table Calendar - Desktop calendar with base with printing on 2 sides. Total of 26 printed pages including cover
- CD Calendar - CD-sized calendar printed on 2 sides and mounted on CD jewel casing. Total of 13 pages including cover
The calendars are printed on xxxgsm xxx paper and secured using white colour wire-o.
• What are the different photo Card products?
There are 7 photo Card products, namely:
- 4" x 5.5" Postcard in a pack of 20
- 5" x 7" Postcard in a pack of 20
- 4" x 8" Postcard in a pack of 20
- 4" x 5.5" Greeting card with plain envelope and in a pack of 12
- 5" x 7" Greeting card with plain envelope and in a pack of 12
- Playing Cards with each order comprising 2 packs of 54 cards each
• How are the photo products printed?
All our photo products are digitally printed.
• How does the quality of prints compared to traditional photo prints?
All our photo products are digitally printed using 2400dpi print technology and the sRGB colour profile that is available on most digital cameras. We calibrate our printers regularly to maintain good consistent colour quality. The result is colours that are as good as traditional photo prints.
• Are there discounts for larger orders?

• How long does it take to upload my order?
This depends on a number of factors including the number of photos you are uploading, the size of each photo, the broadband speed and even the time of the day you are uploading your order. Expect an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour to upload. During this time, you can continue to perform other tasks on your PC. The upload process is fully automated and you need not monitor it manually.
• How long does it take to upload my order?
This depends on a number of factors including the number of photos you are uploading, the size of each photo, the broadband speed and even the time of the day you are uploading your order. Expect an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour to upload. During this time, you can continue to perform other tasks on your PC. The upload process is fully automated and you need not monitor it manually.
• Why can’t I upload my order?
Most uploading problems are related to FTP (File Transfer Protocol). This normally works, but if the FTP port of your computer is closed then you will encounter uploading problems. Port 21, the FTP port, can be closed by a firewall. A firewall is security software which protects your computer from external attacks. The latest version of Windows XP includes such a program. When you install new software, the firewall will check if the software can communicate with external systems. Where relevant the firewall will ask you if you want to permit the new software to set up external communications. If you select 'Yes' our software should not have any uploading problems.
However, if you select 'No' the firewall will close the communications port to the software. Essentially this means that our software is cut off from the Internet. You will only notice that when you want to place an order. myPhoto Creator will indicate that the FTP connection does not work.
• My project has been uploaded but my shopping cart did not come up...what happened?
Sometimes security programs will block the opening of the shopping cart for you to complete your payment. There are two solutions to this problem. If you know the program causing the problem you can disable it for a short period of time. If not please note the time of your upload and a Job ID if one was provided for you. Email us info@myPhotoIdeas.com with this info (Job ID and time) and we will help you complete your order.
• I’ve placed my order. Why didn’t I receive a confirmation email?
It could well be that you entered an incorrect e-mail address. If you entered an incorrect or different e-mail address during the Order process, then the order confirmation e-mail will be sent to the wrong address. As this process is fully automated we cannot resend the e-mail. The only solution is to fix your e-mail address and repeat the upload/order process. You can then proceed with the payment.
Or it could be that the email is caught by a spam filter or some other email security. To confirm your order, please contact us at info@myPhotoIdeas with your name, Job ID or any other way where we can identify your project.
• I’ve uploaded a product. Can I change to another product?
Yes, as long as you have not paid for it. The order is not actually placed until payment is made and confirmed. An uploaded file which has not been paid for will be deleted automatically from our server after 4 weeks.
You can make changes to the same photo book and upload it again. Once payment is made and confirmed by the bank, we will start working on it.
However, if you intend to change to another photo book format, you need to restart with a new product. It is not possible to change the format at this late stage.
• What happens after I’ve placed an order with myPhoto Ideas?
After uploading your project, you will be redirected to an online page where we obtain more details about your order.Once this step is completed, you will be directed to a secure online payment page. At the same time, you will receive an email confirmation on the upload of order and with an order confirmation number. Note that if you do not continue with the payment process, the order will be deleted after 4 weeks.
Once you made payment online, you will receive another email confirming that payment is accepted.
We will start processing your order and you should expect to receive your project within 7 working days if delivery is in Singapore.

• Will the frame be printed if I don't place any text or photograph in it?
The frames on each page act as guides for drag-and-drop purpose only. If no photographs and text are dragged into the frames, the empty frames will not be printed.
• Can I change the selected album size?
The type of album and the number of pages are selected at the start of the editing process. Unfortunately it is not possible to change these choices later. You need to restart with a new project.
• Can I change the order of the pages in my photo book?
Yes, simply scroll along the layout panel at the top of the screen to locate the page you wish to move, click and drag it to the new position.. The rest of the pages will adjust accordingly.
• Do I need to resize the image (if they are larger then 300DPI)?
NO. The software will resize the images to fit 300DPI before creating the PDF file and sending to print.
• The preview for my calendar looks out of order...why is that?
Certain calendar types (the center fold calendars) require double sided printing. In order to maintain the correct format for the printing, cutting, and binding of the calendar, thus the pages may appear to be out of order. There are not. The purpose of this preview is for you to look at the calendar to determine if it’s OK: spelling, text in place, right images selected, layout etc.
• It's after January, can I start my calendar on a different month?
To start your calendar on any month or year start your calendar and choose that start period or if you've already started your calendar go to the personalize menu and choose "Calendar and Holidays"
• How can I transfer my personalized holidays from last years calendar to this years calendar?
Open your previously saved calendar. Go to the file menu and choose save as. Select a different name for your calendar and save it. Then go to the personalize menu and choose "Calendar and Holidays" Change the start year and month.
